Meet SwiipeUp a new adult payment option for cammodels and clipmakers. They promise easy payments and weekly payouts. Right now during a limited time SwiipeUp is offering a $1 minimum payout option.

$1 minimums??? That's nuts! But it won't last long. Information from their FAQ section

What is SwiipeUp?

SwiipeUp is a simple to use, mobile-friendly sales platform founded by Sarah Calanthe and friends.

Why use SwiipeUp over Venmo, PayPal, Cash App etc.?

Payment apps are known to be hostile towards sex workers and frequently shut down accounts.

SwiipeUp ensures your account will never get shut down because it only uses adult-approved payment processors. They charge us more (~15% of every sale) in exchange for being able to protect our models' earnings.

Where are you based?

We are based in the United States. As a result, your buyers are much less likely to have their credit card rejected or declined when making a purchase.

What can I sell on SwiipeUp?

We support the sale of digital products and services, including:

Private links (for folders, videos, photos and audio files)
Premium subscriptions (with automated recurring payments)
Custom content and live chat sessions (via tips)
We're always working on new stuff. Come chat with us on Discord if you have ideas or suggestions!

What percentage of my sales do I get?

You will receive 80% of all sales you make. For example, if you make a $10 sale, $8 will be added to your earnings.

When will I get paid?

We process payouts every Monday for your prior week's earnings!
Adult content creator @SarahCalanthe is the spokesperson and she's working with two other people as the founders of SwiipeUP. I can't help but notice that Sarah isn't promoting this new platform on her Twitter page. Here is the story on how they teamed up to work on this project:
Sarah, Maros and Kai met on Reddit in 2018. Kai ran into adult model Sarah Calanthe while working on his previous startup. Maros, who had recently left his job at Snapchat to build his own Bitcoin-based adult startup, had met Kai on Reddit earlier that same year.
The three hit it off and noticed that adult companies have traditionally been inadequate for models because they are owned and operated by content consumers instead of creators.
And so, with Sarah at the helm, Maros leading development and Kai managing operations, SwiipeUp was born in early 2019.
The concept is very similar to Unblur of Indiebill and the virtual storefronts that they were offering at one point. Except SwiipeUp is offering an 80% payout and not 85% like Indiebill and Unblur. I also noticed that they mention that transactions have a greater approval because they are based in the United States. This has honestly become a pain in the butt with some of the European platforms. I'd like to learn more about the private links option and if they can be used as expiring links. Can they be customized like the tool used by Project Maenad and now MFC Share, I believe? So far it looks great. I shall report back once I learn more about the creators.

Have they been closed down?

I went to the link & it's dead & I no longer have my adult TW account (they closed it a few years ago) & so I can't tweet her & her site has no email.

Thanks

I see a lot of girls still giving Indy shows... who are they using for a payment processor these days? Or is it through sites that already take payments... like Onlyfans?

Looking through r/sexsells, it would appear they are taking payment methods they shouldn't and will eventually get banned from (PayPal, CashApp, Zelle, Venmo), adult platforms that may or may not be ok with them using them to process payments for services delivered offsite which may or may not be against their terms of service (OnlyFans, ManyVids) and just generically saying they accept crypto without specifying a platform or even a currency in many cases.

A few are still accepting Amazon gift cards. A few Canadian ones are accepting Interac e-transfers. There are also a few offering to accept transfers to some of the online-only quasi-banks like Wise and Revolut.

In other words, none of them are really using anything they really should be using. It's all precarious and a mess. The fact that so much money is spent in the adult industry and yet no company can manage to stay in business is really telling. The anti-porn crusaders are doing a really good job of keeping us "safe" from paying our rent.

I often wonder how many of those anti-porn crusaders are also porn industry executives? Big box sites HATE HATE HATE the idea of models having full autonomy over their bodies. They put more effort into keeping us in line than creating useful tools that would make our lives better. They're scared and OnlyFans woke them up, but still instead of working with us to understand what we truly need they'd rather shut it down.

I can imagine there's some bigbox site owners who don't like the idea of indie performers, or even smaller platforms, but the companies who try to process payments for us are largely put out of business by their payment processors and those same payment processors treat the bigger sites equally badly.

Every time I see a new one launch offering 85%, I just can't imagine how they will stay in business. With all the regulatory hoops they have to jump through (thanks to anti-porn crusaders), the chargebacks due to societal shame surrounding porn (looking at you, anti-porn crusaders) and the high cost they have to pay to process credit cards (again, thanks to anti-porn crusaders), it feels like they are trying to operate a business on 1-2% margin. The second any of their costs rise or that they underestimate a cost, they can't possibly turn a profit anymore.

I know it sucks to have to pay out a large percentage of our earnings, but all the sites that survive long-term take more than 15%. Even in the vanilla world, companies rarely only take a small percentage. Fiverr takes 20%. Etsy takes 6.5%, but you also have to pay to put up every listing whether it sells or not. Patreon charges between 5 and 12%, and then charges additional payment processing fees on top of that (which can vary between 2.9% and 6%, and which can also include a flat fee of 30 cents or 10 cents).

Someone needs to start up a common sense indie billing platform that doesn't promise us the moon in terms of a cut. I'd be thrilled to get 65% from a place that could stay in business for more than a year or two and which provided a great feature set that actually took our needs into consideration and a stable site.
