I'm noticing a drop and before anyone says it's the economy I just want to know where the clients are heading?

If VR is the future, wouldn't it be smart for us to upgrade and become cam porn pioneers? I know most customers aren't all buying VR headsets like crack but they will eventually.

Also, making and releasing amateur VR footage using a 360 camera, and investing in VR stock isn't a bad idea.

i think that it is going to be a new way to consume porn however i m sure and confident that clients over 35y old still prefer human being lol. they got more money also.
new generations maybe and video gamers but the real stuff is going always to be the real stuff eheh

just because is new probably get more attention, analogy maybe does not match but how bad are the robot as customers service, you all we prefer human being behind a phone or a chat... is maybe same feeling! VR can be close but never be same. my humble opinion
i am a digital designer myself!

then VR is not cheaper then real. it is more expensive. so you should charge more. i do not think that it is a way to save money
like iphone is very expensive. i do not think that is going to be great in an economics crisis.

the war affects people mood also! they are in general more sad!

From what I've read, you're right about the economy. Yes, things are tough but people don't give up their vices in hard economic times- sex, drugs, alcohol, beauty, fashion, good food, entertainment. They find ways to do it cheaper or do it a little less, but they don't stop getting their fix.

Do I think these guys are trickling over to VR? Not yet. VR is still a toy, not an integrated part of daily life. People who have VR headsets right now are still largely heavy gamers and of the younger crowd. I don't know about you, but that's not my top demographic of people who are or were spending on me in the first place. If they are buying a cheap VR headset for porn, it's for pornhub POV videos, not for cam. Part of the problem is that VR technology is developing slowly. It's still clunky, the good equipment is prohibitively expensive, and for a lot of people the value isn't there when you consider the VR experiences available.

As tech develops, ideally it gets lighter, more powerful, and cheaper versions become available. Yes, iphones are still expensive, but you can get similarly functional phones for much less. We all saw the change from VHS to DVD to blueray to streaming. VR hasn't made big strides in those areas yet. There's a great article in the New York Times that touches on some of this, and I think it's telling that a lot of this hasn't fundamentally changed since the pandemic: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/30/tech ... ality.html

I do think VR will eventually be beneficial for cam, but I wouldn't go out investing in a big VR set up until the tech is more accessible for everyone. I think you'd probably still be ahead of the curve using VR in 5 years, but hopefully there'd be more return on your investment.

Where do I think the crusties have been going? The guys who were only doing 2-3 minute shows anyway probably just went back to Pornhub. Guys who like the interaction have moved to Onlyfans where for $20/month they can get access to hundreds of videos of 1-4 girls they like, and rotate their favourites so they don't get bored. The market is saturated so it's hard to generate awareness and get noticed there. I think the girls who survive doing this through the recession will be the ones who have a lot of different eggs in different baskets, and can create that escapism experience that people crave. The more you can make them feel the fantasy, the more they'll come back, even when budgets are tight.
